Publishing chapters and finding readers

Updated August 15, 2026

Publishing a chapter

Chapters publish individually. This is deliberate: serialising gets you readers and feedback while the book is still moving, instead of after it is too late to act on.

A book needs to be public for its chapters to be readable, and each chapter then has its own public or private state.

Your author page

Your public profile lives at lorebeacon.com/u/yourname and lists the books and posts you have made public. It is the link to share, and it stays valid as you publish more.

What readers can do

  • Read published chapters and pick up where they left off.
  • Praise a chapter, comment on it, and follow you so new chapters surface for them.
  • Save books to a reading list.
  • Report anything that breaks the rules, which comes to us rather than to you.

Being found

Published books appear in Explore, where readers browse by category and sub genre, and in search by title, genre, tag, and author name. Filling in your genre, sub genres, and tags is the single most useful thing you can do to be discovered.
